So several people at my work are dieting.
Some people are detoxing.
Makes me feel like a fatty
as I eat my chocolate covered peanuts and chinese food.
The other day,
I watched a documentary called
Fat Sick and Nearly Dead
and now I'm stuck on the idea of doing a juice detox.
I've been trying to find the right "diet"
for a while now.
However,
I don't want to diet to lose weight
(although it'd be nice to lose a little)
I just feel so unhealthy with all the fast food that I eat.
But produce goes bad so fast,
and I never know how to prepare it.
This is a temporary solution,
it would give me all the fruits and veggies that are recommended in a day.
Of course,
I can't do it forever,
but I figure if I can do it every few months
for at least seven days at a time
and eat as healthily as I can in between
I will be healthier than I am now.
Basically, if you don't already know,
a juice detox is where you blend up different mixtures
of fruits and veggies and drink them.
And that's all you eat for a set amount of time...
I want to do it for ten days,
but then from there I'd like to see if I could pull of thirty,
and if I'm really strong-willed,
I'd like to see if I can do the full 60 days like he does on the show.
Doubt I'll go that far.
Especially since Thanksgiving is less than sixty days away.
But I could at the very least start my day with a glass of fruits/veggies :)
My biggest dilema is that I don't have a juicer.
Anyone know where I can get one for a semi-decent price???
