Confidence

Extrovert at heart, introvert by nature.
I'm trying so hard,
to stop being so shy all the time.
So today,
I did something new:
I went to Applebees
by myself!
I'm so proud :D

At first,
I was really nervous.
The host/greeter guy seemed to be embarrassed for me.
The waitress asked if I wanted a drink
and if I'd prefer to sit at the bar.
When I told her I wasn't 21,
she giggled nervously.
I did however,
order a Strawberry Daiquiri (virgin)
which btw was delicious,
not to mention a real treat.

I had a Caesar salad to start off,
but it was drowned in dressing
and pretty soggy,
so I only ate the croutons
and crunchier lettuce pieces.

I ordered this for the entree:

Garlic mashed potatoes,
steak smothered in cheese,
red and green peppers,
mushrooms...
YUM!

To top things off,
I couldn't walk away without
my favorite dessert :)

While I was eating, I wrote a little bit,
read a little more,
and had the chance to do one of my favorite activities:
people watching.

All in all,
it was a pretty pleasant experience.
I don't think it will ever be my first choice,
but it was definitely a lot less scary than I thought it would be.

On a different topic,
I got a job at Target!
It isn't my first choice
to work the food counter,
but a job is a job.
I also wasn't too pleased,
that I'm not making as much as I was,
but again,
a job is a job.
And a job is better than none.
I had two interviews,
and the second lady,
was the one that would be my immediate boss.
She said she'll probably cross train me,
which I told her would be perfect.

I don't think working at the food counter will be bad,
I've worked food before.
I just don't want to do it every day,
so cross training will be nice :)
I gotta put in my dues though, right???

Kittens

All the kittens' eyes are open :)
They're SO CUTE!

The orange one looking at the camera
follows me when I let them out of their box.
It's so cute!

This one is Jenny's
it responds when I say hi
and is the only one
that can stand on all fours right now.

I thought this was cute,
even though it's blurry.
I took my laptop out
so I could take pictures,
but they kept crawling toward it.

Precious has become an obstacle course
when I'm in the kitchen.
And she took a shower with me today.
I'm falling in love with her,
so I'm kind of glad that my babies
don't get along with her.
It makes it easier to not keep her.

I'm so glad I get to foster these kitties,
and I'm also glad
that it's not my responsibility
to find them homes.
I think I've found a couple,
which is good.
But I don't know what I'd do,
if I couldn't find a home.
I think that would be the most heartbreaking thing for me.

Awaiting Ideas

Two nights ago,
I went to sleep at 8pm and didn't get up until 9:30am
Last night,
I fell asleep watching TV at 6:30pm
then woke up at 9pm
and couldn't fall asleep unitl
3am.
I then woke up at 3:15
and ran screaming down my hallway
because the spider/cockroaches were chasing me.
(Aka nightmares.)
That's happened to me
several times since moving now.
Hopefully I don't do it while Susie is here,
I'd probably scare the crap out of her.

I got up at 8:58am today
and got ready for the day.
I went to Starbucks on my way to the DMV
(Mommy got me a gift card :})
I didn't have to wait long at all,
but it's a bit different than AZ.
First, you stand in line for information,
no matter if you have the forms filled out or not.
Then they send you to whatever line next.
Personally,
I got sent to the "Written Test" room
since I am under 21
I had to retake the written test
to get my Nevada license.
There was no line there,
and the guy helping me was super nice.
He did a quick pre-test with me
to see if I needed to study
(Which I most definately did)
Nevada has some weird laws,
the one that stood out the most to me
was that if a person graffitti's a building
they get their license revoked for 3 years.

It cost $25 to take the test,
but I passed!
You could get ten of fifty wrong,
I got eight,
seven of which were within the first 10 questions.
Boy, was I nervous!!!

After taking that test,
they told me because I have three moving violations,
I have to take the behind the wheel test next.
Unfortunately,
the next appointment isn't for 5 weeks,
I made mine for September 3rd 10:30am
so that it wouldn't interfere with classes
(No class on Fridays.)

I was worried,
because I have to have either
a Nevada license or voter registration
to get in-state tuition at UNLV.
Like I said,
the guy was super nice,
and gave me a form to get an immediate
temporary voter registration until my permanent one
comes in the mail.
Lucky me! :)
I then went to UNLV to register for in-state,
but the office is only open Mon-Fri 8-5
which I was sort of expecting.
I'll have to go Monday.

I got Panda on the way home,
and now I'm sitting at my house,
waiting for an idea to pop into my head.

I'm gonna do Covergirl a favor
and tell you about their new product
called LipStain:

I've been using this product for about a week now,
and yesterday I bought another color.
I really like the selection that they have,
and it's not as iffy as most lipwear
since the color you see
is really the color that appears on your lips.

This is the darker one that I got yesterday:

It's not the greatest picture
since I took it on my webcam
but I really enjoy this product.
It truely stays on all day long!
But!
It's easy to take off,
no makeup remover necessary.

The only complaint I have,
is that when my lips are chapped,
the chapped parts are darker
so it looks pretty funny.
However,
this morning I put on
Buxom Lip Venom
(another product that I love)
over the lip stain
and it fixed that little problem.

Mmk.
So that's it for my advertisement,
now off to my advisement meeting :)

Kittens

I have a housefull of kitties!
Precious had six,
so now I have a total of ten cats
for the next twelve weeks.

Born July 9th 2010
They're SO tiny!!
And I'm so happy to have them for a little while.

Poor Precious
seems so, so tired.
