Pictures!

I just figured out how to upload photos from my phone.
Without doing it one at a time.
Yes, I'm a tad behind on my technology,
I know.

Anyway, enjoy the show!

This picture does not do justice, these kittens were two of the cutest!

My Halloween costume was awesome.
I was a Zebra!

Erica and I had some good times. I tried really hard to make that blonde work.

Judy and I always had fun at work.

My cats watch tv with me.

Zuzu is just a little crazy,
he chases things that don't exist.

But he's the best cuddle-bug.

This is the McDonald's between Vegas and Phoenix.

The first time we hung out,
Brittany dyed my hair.
I love living on the second floor,
my cats enjoy being able to go outside.
This is Wiz.
He's the kitten that I helped Judy get for Xmas.
He farts a lot, but how could you resist that face?
I am the proud owner of these beauties!
This is why I don't straighten my hair.
(It's uneven!)
Judy and I like to lay on the floor,
and listen to music.
This is why I stopped wrestling Zues.
I want these shoes!
4" heals, dunno if I could wear them longer than 5 min.
I think this car is cool.
I found this in my car.
It's from one of the double dates
that Alaina and I went on.
We never went back for the clubs. Ha.
This just looks like trouble.
Not the best picture,
but this is how I wake up.
(All three cats,
on me if they're full,
staring at me if they're hungry.)
This picture doesn't really show it well,
but I'm the only one that cleaned the sinks at Target.
The one on the left is brown.
The one on the right is clean.

21st Birthday Weekend!

Wednesday:

Brittany and Brandon came over early on Wednesday.
Britt bought decorations,
but she couldn't remember what my fav color is,
so she got red and yellow.
I just told her she got ASU colors :P

Then, as I was finishing getting ready,
Britt said that Judy needed her help downstairs.
They came back up about fifteen minutes later,
and I wanted to cry,
I felt so loved ♥

They had gotten me balloons,
and cake,
and alcohol (ha!)

Those balloons are still standing,
two weeks and three days later :)

They wrapped me in streamers,
and called me a hot dog.

Brandon was a dork throughout the night.
Kept the laughs going :)

We had a celabatory shot at midnight:

And then we danced to Crank Dat by Solja Boi

And this was voted cutest picture ever:

Thursday, I cooked dinner for my family.
It was a LOT of fun :)

Then on Friday,
Judy went with me to The Golden Nugget
(Mommy and Daddy paid for two nights!)
where I gambled for the very first time:

and used an oxygen bar:

and got all dressed up girly and fun:

I spent the rest of the weekend at The Golden Nugget
with my big bubble butt brudder:

It was a GREAT weekend ♥

Xbox Kinnect

I just have to say,
I LOVE my Xbox Kinnect.
Love, Love, Love!

A few days ago,
I played the Your Shape Fitness Evolved.
Oh. My. Goodness.
First, it scans your body.
Then it makes a personalized plan for your body and goals.
I haven't done much on it yet,
but I did the personal training.
The moves are pretty simple;
I thought I would have no problem doing them.
After twenty minutes,
I was done!

The next day,
I went over to Lisa's for Steve's birthday.
We played the Sports game
and I boxed Kimmy.
Holy cow.
What a workout!

Everyone had fun playing,
and I had to go buy the game for myself after.
I can't wait to play with my friends :)

Gma and Jess played a gravity game:

Then Jess and Lisa boxed each other:

And this is just a video from when I was home.
We were at Vito's for Grandma S.'s birthday.
Karla and Keri bickered throughout dinner.

Trip Home

I just realized that I still have not posted
anything about my trip home!
:O
[[Shame, shame!]]

Unfortunately,
I left my camera at my brother's house :(
So I don't have pictures to upload.

The first night there,
I got Jenny some diapers, formula, and sun-flower (looking) flowers
and decorated her room for when she got off work.
I got to spend some quality time
chatting with Mandy too
which we rarely get to do anymore.
That made me happy.

I did a lot while I was home.
Including:
car shopping, lunches, pedicures, shopping with Jenny and Reilley
catching up with Alaina and Aaron,
spending quality time with my brudder,
hanging out with Natalie,
surprise countdown party to my 21st birthday,
shopping with Mom,
hanging out at the Divin's
aaaaaand so much more.
It was a busy busy week and a half.
But I loved every moment of it ♥
(The only thing I didn't get to do,
was lunch with Mandy and Hailey.
Growing up sucks.
Schedules just never seem to match up.)

I kinda-sorta love living away from home.
It sucks being far away,
but it makes everything so much better
when I do get to go back.

I have the best friends ever!

School Has Begun

I have a feeling
that this semester is going to be different.
I don't feel that my classes are any easier
than I've had before.
In fact, they seem to be harder.
However,
I have a feeling,
that this semester is going to be the semester
that I don't get a single C, D, or F.

I feel like such a child sometimes.
I threw a fit before school started,
complaining about how I had to take a cooking class.
I knew that I would enjoy it,
but I had heard that the teacher was rough.
I felt like I would be wasting time in culinary
when that is not my career path.
However,
the teacher is one of the nicest I have had.
He is a great teacher too.
And guess what?
I am enjoying the class
(even though it is on Friday nights.)

My accounting class is kicking my butt
(already)
but I am determined to show it who's boss.
I will defeat you, evil accounting class!

I am taking a human resources class.
I love it!
It makes me want to change majors.

I am also retaking my intro to hospitality course
which of course, with my luck
the professor has made it more difficult this semester.
Drat.
That's what I get for not acing the course last semester.

I am already two months ahead in my online class.
[[Take that!]]
I'm so glad I took marketing online :)

I have a new study tactic for this semester.
I am typing up all of my hand-written notes.
I am hoping that this will get the material stuck in my brain.

Just Have a Feeling

2009 was probably the worst year of my life.
Honestly,
that's not saying much,
since it really wasn't that bad.
The only reason I even mention it,
is because 2010 was definitely
a step in the right direction.

At the start of 2010,
Mandy inspired me to write a blog about my word of the year.
It's time to do it again,
but first!
I just want to say that personally,
I feel like my word succeed was a success
[[haha, I'm so funny!]]
I made a life-changing decition
to get out from my comfort zone.
I moved away from home,
and started attending UNLV.
As of right now,
I feel that it was probably
one of the best decisions I've made so far.
I miss my friends dearly,
my brother, my parents,
but it makes everything that much more exciting
when I do get to be home.

Had it not been for 2009,
I never would have moved out of Arizona.
I would have got to ASU
and I don't think I'd be as happy as I am now.
I never would have had the guts
to get back in touch with Natalie,
who got me back in touch with Emma...

Anyway,
I'm getting off track.
I can already tell that 2011 is going to be
AMaZiNg
I have great friends back home,
I'm making good friends here in Las Vegas,
and as of a couple days ago,
I have regained all the people I love most.
The new year was brought in right,
with a couple good friends,
and a lot of laughter.

So, to get to the point,
2011's word is going to be
Chance.
I took a couple small chances this past year,
some have turned out to be duds,
others have turned out fantastically.
I need to take more.
I need to stop being so afraid of
what could be
and focus on what is!

I've taken so many chances on others in the past.
This year,
it's time to focus on taking chances for myself.
I know it sounds selfish,
but somehow,
I don't think it is.
I just want to be the
best
person
I
can
be.

A Much Needed Break

After Mom told me that Sadie passed,
I cried, as expected.
I tried to find comfort in people via Facebook
and phone conversations
and texting.
I tried to hide myself in my reading,
and studying,
and work.

Studying for finals was not easy.
My group of study buddies for midterms weren't around;
one is in a sorority so she's no longer available,
another dropped out of school for the semester...
basically I was on my own.
Which is fine.
That's how it's supposed to be, right?
Gotta grow up sometime.

My co-workers were spreading rumors
that I was going to be fired
shortly after Black Friday.
This was also stressing me out.

All these things bundled into one,
made me feel like my life was out of control.
Which is exactly why I decided to jump in my car
and drive to Arizona.
Just because I can.

I wasn't going to tell anyone that I was coming,
but then I decided to tell my parents.
Just because I felt that was the grown-up thing to do.
It took some convincing on my part
to have them be okay with me driving alone.
Which, I am grateful that they worry,
because I know that they care.
But sometimes, it makes me feel like a little kid
when I can't do anything if my parents tell me no.

Eventually,
I'm going to have to start making my own decisions,
by myself,
with no help from others.

I don't know why really,
but my short trip home
was exactly what I needed.

I drove there by myself
for the first time ever.
I stopped at the regular places,
and did pretty darn good I think!
However,
my GPS did take me through Phoenix
and would not let me get on the freeway.
Silly me,
but that's okay.

I showed up at the Divin's household
at about 11 in the morning.
Jenny answered the door
and I was so happy that I got to surprise her.

While I was there,
I ate lunch with my mom,
went shopping with my grandma,
got to talk with Mandy a little,
hung out with Jenny, Reilley and Stewart,
went to Andie's new place,
saw Sadie,
had lunch with the family,
and that was about it.
But I came home feeling much better.
I don't really know why,
it just made me feel like my batteries were recharged :)

On a different topic,
Fall semester is over.
I'm doing a cooking day with Gma
tomorrow.
I have a spree planned with my co-worker Brittany
on Saturday.
I think my parents are coming
on Tuesday.
Co-worker Judy and I are getting our nails done
on Wednesday.
Bubble Butt and my grandparents fly into town
on Thursday.
My roommate is moving out
on Friday.
Christmas is
Saturday.

I like being busy with fun activities :)

My co-worker Nia wants to move in with me.
Another co-worker Cassandra has also mentioned it,
but doesn't seem serious about it.
My cousin has an interview in January
for a place that's right down the street from my house,
so she's also a possible roommate in the future..
I'll definitely have to think about it seriously
and decide if it's a good idea to even have a roommate.
It's nice to think that people want to move in,
if nothing else :P

I have the feeling that this is going to be an amazing winter break ♥

Best Dog Ever

I got a call from my mom this morning
and she told me some very sad news.
Sadie is sick...
...and she was put to sleep today.

I can't believe I'll never get to see her again.

When she was younger,
She would sleep on our pillows,
wake us up for school every morning,
chase me around, nipping at my heals,
pull us on our rollerblades
play hide and seek...

She'd always lay with me when I'd cry,
get so excited when I would get home from school,
or when we'd take her for a walk,
whine when I wouldn't share my snacks,
follow the family around the house
(especially when food was involved)

Even when I went home last time,
she couldn't get up to greet me,
but still she wagged her tale,
and seemed so happy to see me.

I don't want to say goodbye.

♥ RIP Sadie ♥
I love you, always and forever.

My Foster Babies

Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue: I hope to grow up and become as magnificent as my ...: "Kiki Precious Update: Kiki was adopted on November 3rd! At the time of rescue Precious was lumbering around in a park, large from being ..."

Every once in a while I have been checking to see if my babies have been adopted. I never saw anything of them, so I assumed that they were in forever homes and happy.

It looks like "Kiki" (the one I called Belly) was just adopted yesterday and the rest of the kittens were adopted as well. Precious is still looking for a loving home, and it breaks my heart that I can't take her. She really was such a wonderful kitty :( She's so beautiful, I'm shocked nobody has picked her.

In their blog, they talk about how Kiki loved snuggling with her mom. It makes me so sad to think that she didn't have her siblings to cuddle with. Her and Sparky were close and I wish they could have stayed together... At least they are in loving homes though and I guess that's really all that I could ever ask for.

I miss my little ones so much ♥

I caught Zeus starring at the cabinets where the kittens used to hide. I swear he was waiting for them to come out...

It's Been A While

I feel like I have been neglecting my blog.
I have ideas to write,
but when I sit to focus on them
they just don't seem interesting enough.

I am sitting at the McCaren Airport right now,
waiting for my flight to Phoenix.
I'm SO excited to go home for a bit.
Work gave me off Tuesday through next Friday,
which was nice
I guess.
It makes me wish I could stay longer.

As I sit here,
I keep thinking about random things.
I have a new roommate,
which so far is a lot of fun.
We wear the same size shoes
and she's a sweetie,
so she's been letting me play dress-up.
I didn't have a purse that would fit things for this trip,
so she also lent me her bright purple name-brand purse.

Totally me, right?!

We went shopping a couple of times already.
I showed her some lashes at Sally's,
She showed me some awesome makeup at MAC that I have to save for
and I bought a facemask and some haircare product that she uses at Ulta.
I also showed her the kind of things you can get at T J Maxx :)
She's the kind of girl that loves name-brand items,
so we had some fun in there.
We also went to Ross, but were a bit disapointed.

Zuzu watches TV with us :)
I'm SO lucky I have a roommate
that loves my cats almost as much as I do!

Speaking of Ross,
my brother wants to go with me while I'm there.
I think it's cute.
After he found the awesome deal on jeans at Marshalls,
he has been as dedicated to thrift shopping as I am.

I'm trying to look into getting into cosmetology.
I don't want to do it for a career,
but I would love to get certified while I'm in school.
It could be an extra income?
And I could definitely use it when I have kids.

I love having a roommate that is into hair and makeup and clothes and shoes.
It helps me get more involved too.
I loooove being girly,
it makes me feel good :)

On a more negative note,
I have caught one of my new Vegas friends
lying to me on several occations.
It's dissapointing,
and makes me sad.
I think we could be really good friends,
but if I can't trust her,
that's just not going to happen :(

People watching in Vegas
is one of the most interesting things to do.
:)

Erica and I went and got keys made for the condo.
She got a super cute one.
So I just had to get one too...

My super-awesome key :)

Different

So I finally took the plunge.
Everyone kept telling me it would be damaging
and that I should go to a professional.
However,
the past few times that I have gone,
things didn't turn out how I wanted.
After talking to Jenny multiple times,
she re-assured me that I could do it myself.

I actually wasn't planning on doing it.
I was at work, and it was sitting on the shelf
staring at me!
Clearance: $3

It's made specifically for people with dark hair,
and promised to work even on black hair.
Soooo, I gave it a shot.
The instructions were helpful,
and I'm glad I started with this.
Although,
I accidently got some on my bangs.

After a couple days,
I got some QuickBlue bleach
and reapplied.

The next day,
I bought some more QuickBlue
(this time in the big container
so that I could keep it up.)
And reapplied again.
It's almost how I want it.
Although,
I must admit it's not easy.
And I do wish I had someone here to help.
The roots are the hardest part for me.
But, that's why I only did the underneath
so you can't really tell :)

It is a very long, drawn out process,
but it lifts my spirits while doing homework.
And weirdly makes me feel like a grown up
(Look Jenny! I'm doing it by myself! Ha.)

The lady at Sally's told me to put a bag on my head.
She said it keeps the bleach from drying,
so it won't take as many applications.
(Haha yes, I know I'm a dork.)

I just thought this looked cool :P

As you can tell,
the bangs are still at the "orange" stage.
But overall,
I'm happy with the result
:)

Busy, busy, busy...

I had forgotten how difficult it is
to go to school and work.
At Extended Stay,
I almost always had time to study
and do homework.
I don't have that luxury at Target.
I hate living off of savings,
but I am debating on "focusing" on school next semester.
I want to join a sorority,
so maybe I won't work...
It's doubtful,
but it is a thought.

RCA

Redcliff Ascent
Three years since I first met you.
Since I first hated you.
Since I first loved you.

They're planning to do a reunion
summer 2011.
Hopefully,
it won't be during Eurotrip.
If it is,
I'm not so sure which I would pick...

I still haven't written anything more on my Redcliff post.
The only thing that saddens me about that,
is I'm slowly forgetting everything.
